Kodak Alaris Scanner - Cleardata
Cleardata is a leading document management company that specialises in document scanning, archiving, data capture and digital mail room processing. The company also boasts in operating one of the largest scanning bureaus in the United Kingdom, with the ability to scan and capture over 4 million images every month using Kodak Alaris scanners.

Cleardata have been declared the largest single-site user of Kodak scanners in the UK, with the company recently investing in two Kodak i5850S scanners, taking the fleet to 15 in total. Adding the new scanners to the company’s current i5000 and i5800 series was essential in order to boost production capacity for two new contract wins, which required the digitisation of over 18 million records.

The i5850S are the latest scanners to hit the market. With new features that include an automated sorting during the scanning process, the collection of documents in the exit tray and an output of non-sorted files.

Dave Bryce, Managing Director of Cleardata commented, “We were very excited about the launch of the new Kodak Alaris scanners. We particularly like how the software includes eight images on the screen, which is a massive time saving tool when you’re processing at speeds of 420 images per minute. This allows our team to view the quality of the images, whilst they’re being scanned and can correct them if necessary. Quality is hugely important to us and we’re the only scanning bureau that uses two sets of eyes to check every single image we scan.”

Cleardata helps a wide variety of organisations to become digital and is able to scan any sized documents from large format drawings up to A0 in size to small format documents up to A8. The company’s team are able to handle important documents quickly and efficiently with the assistance of Kodak technology, that can automatically detect the colour of scanned images and provides a speedy paper feeding feature.

Cleardata will be purchasing even more Kodak scanners later on in the year due to the company recently investing £1.5 Million in a new scanning and archiving facility based in North Wales. Cleardata’s scanning bureau is Cyber Essentials certified. The company is also accredited to ISO9001 Quality Management, ISO27001 Information Security Management and BS EN 15713 for the secure destruction of confidential material.
