Cleardata Partners With WeMindTheGap

Cleardata, a UK Document Management Company, has collaborated with WeMindTheGap as an Employer Partner from October 2019 to April 2020. The charity was founded by Rachel Clacher to address and challenge social mobility in local communities by providing young, underserved, unemployed people with an opportunity to fulfil their potential in life and work.

WeMindTheGap is a non-profit organisation, delivering a holistic 12-month programme to ten young people per cohort. Each programme involves six-months of paid employment with five varied work placements, life experiences, essential skills and one-on-one life coaching sessions with continuous support.

Based at Cleardata’s North Wales archive storage facility in Hawarden the company will provide trainees with work experiences in their document storage operation, finance and marketing teams. Cleardata offers secure document storage, document scanning, invoice processing, digital mailroom and robotic process automation services.

In this time, Cleardata will provide five of the young people involved in the programme with work experience, they will work alongside their colleagues and develop real life work skills including communication, IT, working in a team, adaptability and much more. This will hopefully enable them to identify their talents, passions, and a career for the future.

A WeMindTheGap participant commented “Since being on the programme I’ve been able to gain new friends, new confidence and new experiences that I’ve never done before. It’s made me realise that I can do things that I never would have experienced. So far I’ve worked in the office and storage facility and my confidence elastic band is growing bigger and bigger.”

David Bryce, Managing Director added “Cleardata is proud to support WeMindTheGap, the company employs 136 people and is proud to support the local communities where we operate.”

WeMindTheGap provides continuous support and guidance for graduates of the programme and sees 7/10 young people move into full-time employment or education. Cleardata looks forward to being involved in the personal and professional development of the participants.
