My personal experience
When I first joined my Supervisors were very supportive towards me and went to great lengths to ensure I knew exactly what tasks I would be undertaking as a Bureau Operative. Throughout my employment, the Supervisors and Management Team have proven to me again and again that they know employees are key to successful running of the business. It is this approach that has made me want to go the extra mile here at Cleardata.
For me personally I feel that I can learn all new tasks assigned to me fairly quickly and pay close attention to what our customers have requested within the time period issued for every job on a daily basis.
Even now, in this continuously evolving industry of digitisation and with the challenges we face, the required training and support for an employee in my job role has remained ongoing. This has resulted in customers getting a quality service and ensured they get exactly what they have asked for.
Because of the training and encouragement that Cleardata has provided for me, I feel that this has given me the confidence to want keep learning and developing new skills to ensure our company continues to grow and progress into the future.
What it’s Like Being a Bureau Operative at Cleardata
No two days are ever quite the same here. As a Bureau Operative, you're right at the heart of everything we do – turning paper into digital records and helping our clients stay organised and compliant.
You start your day by prepping documents. It might sound simple, but there’s a real skill to it – every job comes with its own instructions, and attention to detail is key. Luckily, you’re never on your own. The training is thorough, and there’s always someone around to lend a hand or answer questions.
Once the documents are ready, it’s time to scan. We use a range of scanners depending on the job – from high-speed machines to overhead cameras and large format kit for bigger items. You get used to the equipment quickly, and it’s pretty satisfying seeing stacks of paper turned into neat, digital files.
Indexing is part of the process too – sometimes physically, sometimes digitally – making sure everything is labelled correctly so it’s easy to find later. And then there’s quality checking, making sure the scans are clear and meet the high standards our clients expect.
You might help with the odd file request or work alongside the Warehouse team. Occasionally, you could even be asked to work offsite at a client’s premises – it’s always planned in advance, and the team makes sure you’re set up for success.
There’s also the mailroom side of things – both physical and digital – which keeps the work varied and interesting.
It’s a role that keeps you busy, but in a good way. You’re part of a supportive team, you learn a lot, and you get the satisfaction of knowing your work makes a real difference.
What I love about working at Cleardata
I have been working for Cleardata for 19 years. I've always felt valued and respected at this company. They are supportive, and I appreciate the opportunities of growth which have been supplied to me.
Throughout my employment, I have worked in various departments, and due to the various skills I've developed, I gained confidence to apply myself further.
My current role within the company is a Bureau Supervisor. I often take up the role of Bureau Manager on a cover basis due to my knowledge and experience.
Throughout the years the business has always brought the best out of me and put the skills I have learned into practice. Cleardata are invested in me and gave me the opportunity to do a Team Leader Apprenticeship which they have kindly funded, this will further develop my skills.
In my opinion they are always willing to invest in their employees. Being part of the company and watching the growth throughout the years has been amazing and this is something I am proud to be part of.
During my time I have also met some colleagues who I class as close friends which I am grateful for.
My experience working for Cleardata
I’ve been working at Cleardata for 3 years and I can honestly say this has been the best place to work, in comparison to my previous jobs.
I've been able to work my way through different departments, starting as a Bureau Operative and now currently working as a Warehouse Operative.
Being able to ask for a different experience is easy within the company, as different opportunities come around quite often.
I can confidently say I have found my footing within the warehouse and have been well looked after in terms of support and genuine concern for my well-being.
It's been a great 3 years at Cleardata and I look forward to working here for many more years to come.
What It’s Like Being a Warehouse Operative at Cleardata
You’re hands-on with boxes all day—whether it’s picking them, storing them, or getting them ready for shredding or scanning. You help keep things flowing behind the scenes so everything is exactly where it needs to be.
Your main tasks:
Pick boxes for staff and different purposes (like shredding, customer returns, or storage)
Get new boxes ready—label them, list what’s inside, and shelve them properly
Retrieve files when requested and sometimes scan or prep documents
Help load/unload vehicles using machines if needed
Keep your space tidy and follow safety rules
Shred documents securely using provided PPE
Move shredded bales when needed
It’s a friendly, team-oriented place where you’re supported from day one. You’ll have a clear routine, but there’s always something to keep you moving—perfect if you like staying busy and ticking tasks off a list. The work is detail-focused and organised, with a good mix of physical tasks and some light admin. You’ll be using a bit of tech too—like scanners and barcoding systems—so being comfortable with that helps. Safety and data handling rules are a big deal here, and since you’re working with sensitive materials, there’s a lot of trust placed in you to get things right. It’s a role that keeps you active, engaged, and part of a solid team.
As the first face people see when they walk into the building, the Administration Assistant sets the tone for a friendly and organised environment. From greeting visitors to keeping operations running smoothly behind the scenes, they’re a key part of the team.
They manage phone calls, pass on messages, and keep shared inboxes in order. Diary management, meeting notes, and general admin tasks are all part of their day, along with booking hotels, ordering supplies (including the office fruit), and making sure everything is where it needs to be.
On the HR side, they handle on-boarding and off-boarding through the HR system, type up correspondence and HR letters, and ensure inductions are completed. They also manage appraisal bookings, keep employee hours accurate, maintain access to the building, and take care of document retention and the asset register—all while supporting the company’s carbon reduction efforts.
It’s a varied and people-focused role where no two days are the same. The Administration Assistant is organised, reliable, and always one step ahead. Their attention to detail and ability to juggle tasks makes them an essential part of the workplace—and the go-to person for getting things done.
What its like being an Automation Developer
Being an Automation Developer in our Digital Services team means being the person people turn to when they want things done faster, smarter, and with less hassle. You’re not just writing code—you’re solving problems, spotting ways to improve how we work, and building systems that make life easier for both clients and colleagues.
Most days are a mix of hands-on coding and creative thinking. You might be scripting a new report in the morning, troubleshooting a live job before lunch, and planning out an automation build in the afternoon. It’s the kind of role where you get to see the real impact of your work—whether it’s shaving hours off a manual task or helping a teammate save time with a smart fix.
The environment is fast-moving but supportive. You’re trusted to get on with your work, manage your own projects, and bring your ideas to the table. There’s structure when it comes to things like data handling and security, but we encourage fresh thinking and better ways of doing things. You’ll also dip into some general admin tasks, like on-boarding new staff or managing calendars—nothing too heavy, just part of being a helpful, go-to member of the team.
If you enjoy switching between focused technical work and collaborative problem-solving—and like the idea of being the person who makes systems run smoother for everyone—you’ll feel right at home here.
What it’s like to be a Customer Success Officer
This role is all about being a reliable point of contact for customers—someone who can investigate queries, coordinate with internal teams, and ensure a smooth, professional experience from start to finish.
You’ll manage incoming customer queries through the Salesforce Case Management System, ensuring each case is investigated thoroughly and resolved within agreed service levels. This means working closely with sales, operations, and finance—sometimes using digital tools, other times handling physical documents.
You'll maintain regular communication with customers, keeping them informed every step of the way. A clear, professional communication style and an excellent phone manner is essential. All updates are logged accurately in our CRM, and you’ll also keep an eye on the Project Management System. Dealing with service calls and reporting on customer cases through our Salesforce dashboards.
Accurate record-keeping is key. You’ll regularly review and update customer data and licence information, conduct monthly customer surveys (via phone and email), manage conflict resolution when needed, and raise Corrective Action Reports to support long-term improvements.
It’s collaborative, fast-paced, and detail-driven. You’ll be juggling systems, coordinating with teams, and solving problems, all while keeping communication professional and clear. Perfect for someone who’s proactive, organised, and takes pride in delivering a high standard of service.
