SPS to acquire Cleardata UK Ltd, strengthening UK information management and digital services capability

2nd June 2026

London, UK – 2nd June 2026 – SPS, a leading technology-driven business transformation company, today announced that it has entered into an agreement to acquire Cleardata, a UK-based specialist in archive storage, document scanning, document management, digital mailroom and automated document processing services.

Cleardata, headquartered in Northumberland, has invested in the latest digitisation, mailroom and AI driven document processing technologies to deliver outsourced services and solutions that help UK businesses go paperless, improve efficiency and reduce operating costs.

The acquisition represents a further step in SPS’s growth strategy, strengthening its information management and business process service (BPS) proposition, and enhancing its ability to design, manage and optimise end-to-end information-driven workflows. By extending its capabilities across the full lifecycle of physical and digital records, SPS is well positioned to support clients in improving operational efficiency, reducing manual processes, and accelerating digital transformation.

Cleardata brings deep expertise in document management, established customer relationships, and a strong operational footprint, particularly within regulated and information-intensive sectors. Combining this with SPS’s scale, technology, and investment capacity, the group is well positioned to support organisations managing increasingly complex information environments, spanning physical records, digital workflows and workplace services.

“This acquisition reflects our continued confidence in the UK market and our commitment to investing in capabilities that matter to customers. Cleardata is a high-quality business with strong expertise, great employees and trusted customer relationships” says Gary Harrold, SPS UK&I CEO. “Together, we strengthen our proposition and expand our ability to design, manage and optimise end-to-end information and business processes across both physical and digital environments”.

Cleardata’s CEO, David Bryce added “As an SME we’ve built a strong reputation in the document management sector, providing bulk scanning, archiving, mailroom and document processing services with a high degree of quality and reliability.

“I’m so proud of what our business has achieved which wouldn’t have been possible without the hard work and dedication of our Cleardata team. I believe that SPS is a great fit for our business, with both a similar culture and values. Their scale, investment capacity and long-term outlook provide a strong platform for Cleardata’s continued success, while preserving what our customers and employees value most about the business.”

The acquisition is subject to customary completion conditions. No immediate changes are planned for Cleardata’s employees, customers or partners.
